Queens College, City University of New York, Assistant Professor in Korean Humanities

The Department of Classical, Middle Eastern and Asian Languages and Cultures at Queens College, City University of New York (CUNY) invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Korean humanities, to begin in the fall semester of 2019. The fields of expertise are open and include (but not limited to) history, art, religion, film, and/or cultural studies. Responsibilities include teaching Korean humanities and language courses at all levels and contributing to the Korean and East Asian Studies programs and the liberal arts curriculum at Queens College.

A Ph.D. in a relevant discipline is required by the time of appointment. Native or near-native competency in Korean and English, active research and commitment to teaching college-level Korean humanities and language courses are also required.
