The Korea-Pacific Program is inviting applications for a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Graduate School of Global Policy and Strategy at UCSD, funded with generous support from the Korea Foundation. Applicants should be recent PhDs or Assistant Professors doing research in political science (to include international relations and comparative politics), economics or business studies.
The Fellow would be in residence in San Diego for approximately six months, with a start date between September 19, 2022, and December 31, 2022 (at a time to be negotiated). The purpose of the fellowship is to work on a research project or projects with prospect of publication, either in the form of a book or articles, and to interact with the faculty and students at the Graduate School. The Fellow will receive a stipend of approximately $6,000 per month while in residence, and UC San Diego will reimburse travel expenses up to $2,000.
The application process includes a cover letter, a CV and a short (2-4 page) statement of the objectives to be achieved while in residence and expected output. The cover letter and short statement should provide background on the project. Please specify desired visiting dates in the cover letter. The application can be directed to Profs. Stephan Haggard and Munseob Lee; the application site is here: https://apol-recruit.ucsd.edu/JPF03225. Applications are due by June 1; the visiting Fellow will be announced by June 15.
